Song in My Head for Saturday
This song just really resonates with me right now for some reason. It's from his album "Life'll Kill Ya." I've always liked Warren Zevon's songs, and have played many of them over the years. I heard it on Pandora, remembered it fondly, and had to have it. Hello ITunes Store. Guess Steve Jobs will be able to make his yacht payment this month....
If you are not familiar with Mr. Zevon's music, you surely must know his big hit, Werewolves of London. If you do not know this song, or you have never heard it, please seek immediate professional help.

What a pleasant picture...
There's some billowy white clouds outside my window here in NY today, shall I send some down south?
Ah, Warren Zevon - Just the name brings back college, when I moved from easy listening/mainstream and folk music to the "hard stuff." Two of my favorite albums of the '80's were Excitable Boy and Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell. (Trust me, this was rough for delicate lil' me!)
The title cuts of both shocked my mother, and isn't this the point of college and rock 'n roll?

Hey NY: Yes please send some clouds, blue skies, and some of those natural lakes. We utterly lack natural lakes here in SE Ohio--never got visited by any glaciers back in the day.
Kathi: Excitable Boy was a great one! I never got on the Meatloaf bandwagon--at least not untiul Rocky Horror Picture Show.
