What Is It?

"You can't tell me there is no mystery"—Bruce Cockburn.

I am taking guesses as to what this is in this photograph. It is a shot that I digiscoped on Sunday, November 9, at Estero Llano Grande State Park near Weslaco, Texas.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Answer and story tomorrow. Good night and good luck!

One of the most difficult things for a Science Chimp to do is to recuse herself.

Hooting and slapping the ground with branches,

Funny, I just read Hugh's post yesterday, so I easily knew the answer. Otherwise, I would have said Whipoorwill or nightjar.
