More Death Rocket

Another image of the intense look on the sharpie's face as he waited for breakfast to show up.

They always look slightly cross eyed to me.
What I wouldn't give for a Death Rocket of my own in my backyard. I have an ample supply of House Finches he could have. Alas, wrong habitat here.

I had a Death Rocket visit a few weeks ago. That bird didn't move from a birch tree for two hours in the rain!
I love them.
We had three Death Rockets making multiple passes at the feeders yesterday (Jan. 8). This sharpie and two Cooper's--one adult and one immature. The young Cooper's was particularly bold, landing next to the Zick Dough dish on the deck! They are hungry.
That is one INTENSE Death Rocket.
