The Pajaro Grande takes a good idea (Pajaro original waist pack) and makes it bigger and better. Ideal for use with the all-of-North-America Sibley or Peterson guides, which are a snug fit for the original waist pack, the Grande also provides pouches for other birding trip stuff: checklists, cell phone, GPS unit, or lip balm. When I need to super-size my field trip with a full-sized guide, I go Grande.

This bag is okay but I wiash it had three other features:

1) A handle at the top of the bag between the strap attachment points that I could grasp when it was sitting next to me. As it is, I have to grab part of the bag or the strap, and that isn't convenient (I have another brand of bag with a handle and it works very well).

2) Stronger attachement of the strap to the bag (the straps work, but I'm thinking that they will weaken over time [and not too much time]).

3) A swivel trap-to-bag attachment (the strap gets twisted often and one of those swivel attachments would prevent this).
