Reduces Window Strikes! It has been estimated that as many as 975 million birds are killed each year in North America in collisions with glass windows and buildings.
Why? Because the glass reflects the sky and habitat around it almost perfectly, creating a deadly optical illusion. Flying birds cannot discern between these reflections and reality, and the resulting collisions between bird and glass are always serious and often fatal to the birds.
FeatherGuard is uniquely effective because it combines bright color, motion, and the birds' natural aversion to loose feathers. In nature loose feathers are often a sign that a bird has been killed by a predator. Try FeatherGuard today and make your windows safer for your wild birds.
Each package includes one (1) 6-foot FeatherGuard.
It does not deter the mail cardinal from attacking my window.
So far, so good! All we have had is cloudy, cold and wet weather; so the reflection factor on the windows from the sun has been nil. Have have had no hits from birds since I purchased the feather guard. Hopefully that will continue.
I have two patio door windows. I only use one feather guard unit and it works great. No bird collisions.
Works like a charm, no bird collisions. I've had it for about 4 months. I placed it on my balcony/deck screen window. Environmentally friendly and effective, I recommend it.
So far, FeatherGuard has been better at keeping birds from my windows than decals, and it's much easier to remove and reattach when windows must be washed.
We were getting a couple of bird strikes each day on our 4x5' window behind the dogwood. The FeatherGuard has worked great at stopping birds from flying into the window! I could probably make something for less, but this was shipped free and ready to go. It was well worth the $8! I highly recommend the FeatherGuard.
I bought your product for two of my children who live in mountain settings; I was somewhat disappointed in the product because it does not work well on a huge picture window (too much window), and in the other case, it was used on the north side of the house where the light is darker and wooded, and the FeatherGuard did not show up as well.
It seems to have worked; no further deadly bird crashes into the window where I placed Feather Guard. It was easy enough to install but it does require monitoring. The suction cups can detach easily dry windy conditions.
Thank goodness works great. Great place to shop.
I am delighted with the FeatherGuards I purchased! We have had NO bird hits since I put them on the worst offending windows. We were getting one or two almost daily and very often I found myself burying sweet birds. Thanks for a great product!
Nice product
nice product
The string on one end came off almost as soon as i put up the Featherguard. While it was hanging by one end, a wood pecker ran into the window next to it while flying away from a Coopers hawk in the yard. I still think I might get another one and cover the window better. Maybe I didn't give it a thorough try.
This has reduced the number of window strikes greatly. No more dead birds on the ground under the bay window.
So far seems to be working, when looped on the window. Time will tell.
the item wasn't exactly as I expected but seems to be doing the trick. We have had no birds hit the windows since installing these feathers
The FeatherGuard has only been up for 2 weeks but so far no "hits". I have placed it on the inside of a floor to ceiling window directly above a heating/a/c vent which is always blowing air. I would have liked another suction cup which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
There has been a marked decline in collisions with the window.
Featherguard worked great. The birds stayed away. Unfortunately, our feeders (on the outer edge of our deck) were too close to the windows, so the birds stopped coming to the feeders. I believe these will work very well if your windows are far enough from the feeders.
Product is exactly as discribed. It is a colorful and a creative way to warn birds from our large windows. Thus far there have no bird/window collisions since we put it up.
So far so good!! no bird hits on our windows. Seems to alert the birds before they get too close.
I love these Featherguards to prevent bird window strikes. My windows are much more pleasing to look through than the other option -- black 'hawk' static window stickers -- and they seem to be doing the trick - so far, so good!
