In a word GREAT I use it all the time don't leave home without it.
Just the perfect size for holding your field guide, notepad and other items for those birdwatching hikes.
Good size--it hangs nicely and feels comfortable. I just wish one of the side pen pockets was big enough to fit a bottle of water.
The Pajaro Original is a good alternative to a backpack for short bird walks and short hikes. It's made well from sturdy material. All zippers and closures are easy to use and quite secure. I use mine to carry a few extras I might need (eye loupe, Swiss army knife, chemical hand warmers), along with a small camera and digiscoping bracket (Orion Deluxe), in case I want to document an unusual or puzzling bird. Main compartment is big enough for a small thermos. Glad I bought it.
Perfect size for taking all the items you stuff in your jacket pockets and can never find when you need them!
Great waist pack that holds quite a bit. The only thing that would make it better would be a pouch on the side to hold a water bottle.
