"Being a lifelong resident of the Southeast, the yellow-rumped warbler still registers as a myrtle warbler with me. I am certain my name for them makes little difference to the birds, as long as I appreciate them. Name aside, what yellow-rumped warblers give me is an all-winter reminder of the great beauty and variety of the whole warbler family that will appear in the spring."
