Weather: Mostly sunny. 45 degrees in the morning , 80 degrees in the afternoon.

Location: City park in the heart of Jefferson City, MO . Near wooded area with tall, mature hardwoods

Time At Location: 6:32 am to 7:15 pm

Notes:
We counted 31 different species and we got 28 of those by 10:00 am. We still saw many birds most of the day, however no new species after 12:40 pm. Best Sighting was an Eastern Towhee, Brown Creeper, and White-throated sparrow all showing up at the same time to the "Bubbler" feature of the park's Wild Bird Garden!

Anecdotes:
Big Sit participants enjoyed watching a female Downy Woodpecker excavating a cavity in a tree just outside our circle. (see photo in photo section).
