Team Notes

Participants: Marjorie Davies, Ellen Davies, Carl Peters

Weather: Sunny

Location: backyard over looking pasture and Byrd Slew

Time At Location: 12:10am and 6:50am to 7pm

Notes:
I was pleased to hear the Great Horned Owl on my first try. We heared one at dawn and dusk too. The Sharp-shinned Hawk was my suprize raptor for the day. I saw an Osprey and a White-tailed Kite on Friday and Thursday. We also sometimes see Bald Eagle and Harrier Hawks here. Sunset brought a nice flurry of activity with at least 5 Western Bluebirds hunting close by. Our reward for putting up the nest boxes. A fun first Big Sit in Fresno County.

Anecdotes:
While not in the circle I found a Nuttal's Woodpecker. Also saw a Belted Kingfisher about a mile away.
