Participants: Helen Alexander, Paul Baicich, Michael Carlo, Maria Carlo, Mike Carlo, Daniel Carlo, B.J. Hitchock, Mickey Kramer, Eli Kramer-Smyth, Jeanne Kramer-Smyth, John Ogden, Lynn Scarlett, Roy Scott, Ira Simon, Brenda Stone, Sherry Tomlinson

Weather: Sunny - 43 degrees (7:30am) to 72 degrees (3pm) - breezes (up to 7mph) from the SW

Location: Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel, MD, overlooking field, with woods on one side and two ponds in the distance.

Time At Location: 7:30am to 3pm

Notes:
We had a few more species than last year. Nice comparative looks at Accipiters: Coopers and Sharpies. Surprising misses: Carolina Wren, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle.

Anecdotes:
We were located a couple of hundred yards from the Refuge Visitors Center. Some parents and their kids dropped by - some for a long time - as did local bird club and refuge friends members. A couple of VIPs, too! The weather was grand and we all had a wonderful time!
