Team Notes

Participants: Thomas Gaskill, Mike Erickson, Frank Insana

Weather: Beautiful Arizona weather after the Big Storm!

Location: Central Avenue Bridge at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Project

Time At Location: 5 hours

Thomas Gaskill: "The number and variety of birds was way down this year. The low water in both the channel and ADOT Wash was probably partly responsible. It was, though, a very good morning for birds of prey. We had three species new for our Big Sit circle: a lovely singing house wren, a beautiful western meadowlark, and a great big, healthy, adult BALD EAGLE! The eagle flew downstream right in front of us at 10 AM. It was amazing!"
