Weather: Partly cloudy. Started cool, got hot and then cooled down again. Light breeze. Perfect.

Location: Doeskin Ranch, Pond trail

Time At Location: 10 hrs 30 mins

We were surprised by the number of visitors to the Refuge. We counted around 35 people came to hike the trails.

A perfect day to be at the Refuge. We saw one medium-sized rattlesnake, and later heard a snake eating a lizard (we were unable to find the snake). We also counted 18 plants inside our circle.
