Location: Orchard Hill, Dassel, MN. U.S.A.

Time At Location: 12:00-2:00 a.m. & 5:00a.m -7:30p.m. (16 hrs & 30 minutes)

Notes:
With the weather being very nice, this made it nice to be outside in the Tower to observe the birds. Besides the ususal birds that we have in our yard, there were lots of gulls flying, a few migrants passing through, not as many as we have had in the past and the Hawks were flying high. Between watching Birds and enjoying the awesome potluck, we all had a great time. We had crickets, frogs, at least 5 different Butterfly species, 2 sphinx moths, mosquitoes & bats flying around. The little "no see-ums" were out in full force later in the afternoon, even repellent didn't help some birders, making it irritable for Birders, forcing some to leave early. This still was a great "Big Sit" for everyone, always hoping to see another bird come flying through.

Anecdotes:
Paul & Koni would like to "Thank" there fellow Hutchinson Area Bird Club members and friends for participating in the Big Sit. This is our 6th year hosting the Big Sit at our place and we enjoying having fellow birders here to have the enjoyment of the birds that around and pass through. Also, thanks for the terrific potluck that we all enjoyed.
