Team Notes

Participants: Mike Munts, Dave Gordon, Dan Price

Weather: temperatures in 50s, rain early then 5-10 mph wind most of day

Location: Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge

Time At Location: 8.5 hours

Notes:
Low turnout of observers and relatively low number bird species likely influenced by poor weather. Very few waterfowl were on the lake for example. Heavy rain on and off through out the weekend. High wind all day as well. First measurabel rain fall since July 2

Anecdotes:
Poor weather for the first time in months discouraged some participants. Also, some potential participants expresssed concern with timeing on opening day of general hunting season in Washington. Thise who did brave teh inclemnt weather enjoyed the count. We will definitely try again next year.
