Team Notes

Participants: 70+ people stopped by (birders and non-birders)

Weather: 36-60F, mostly sunny, wind N 0-7mph (beautiful day!)

Location: Heronry overlook deck at Chatfield State Park

Time At Location: 5:30am through 7:15pm MDT (continuous presence)

Anecdotes:
Four Nuns stopped by and stayed for over 30 minutes! One was actually a very good birder! The other three took much interest and looked through our scopes and asked questions. Many families with kids, bike riders, joggers and just plain "walkers" stopped and inquired what we were doing. All the birders present shared their scopes and showed them close-up views of pelicans, cormorants, grebes, etc. What fun!
