Another fun day at our 7th annual Team Riverbend Big Sit. Weather dampened things for the first time in 7 years but only slowed us down minimumly. Lighting was a problem particularly earlier in the day. Missed many easy birds. ie House Sp., House finch, Catbird, Mourning and Rock Dove (pigeon, Towhee, Mockingbird, and STARLING. Once again food and snacks all day by Chrystal and Hot dogs and BBQ from John and Dave. Thanks to mny observers and park visitors who stopped by to see the encampment we set up every year. We had Bald Eagles and Pileated in the scope across river for all to see for a while. Chimney Swifts were above the river all day 200+ at a time but always present.
