Team Notes

Participants: Ray Scory, Chuck and Joan Tague, Barbara Loomis

Weather: Spectacular, clear, Sunny, soft breeze

Location: Under Dunlawton Bridge on north west side of bridge on the Halifax River, Port Orange, FL

Time At Location: 6:15 AM - 3:30 PM

Our "The Big Sit" day at the linear park alongside the Dunlawton Bridge was a winner. A spectacular sunrise supported by a temperate ocean breeze forecast good thing to come. It happened. Lots of outdoor activities nurtured active minded people - birders included. A commendable range of species from the diminutive House Wren to the graceful Bald Eagle onto the easily identified shape of Brown Pelicans and powered by the swift Peregrine falcon satisfied our appetite for interesting sightings. Our 40 specie count was very acceptable for this waterside location. Approximated 800 White Ibis were estimated at the location. Wonderful Florida weather was a plus.
