Mississippi Kites, over 500 American White Pelicans, a small flock of Wood Storks, Swainson's Hawk, Valley specialties like Green Jay, Great Kiskadee, White-tipped Dove, Buff-bellied Hummingbird, Plain Chachalaca, Golden-fronted Woodpecker, Black-crested Titmouse, our first-of-season American Bittern, Least Bittern... Bad misses included Ladder-backed Woodpecker, both Night-Herons, Green and Ringed Kingfisher, migrant ducks like Shoveler and Pintail (hich appeared the very next day!), only TWO warbler species showed up, where was the Brown-headed Cowbird?!

Anecdotes:
Peggy Hutchens prepared an excellent meal for everyone on the deck, people from Houston and Austin areas joined us, a Bobcat joined us near the end of the sit, a threatened specie Mexican Tree Frog appeared, as well as Gulf Coast Ribbon Snakes off the deck. Dragonflies were numerous including Valley specialty Thornbush Dasher, We had great fun for such a slow day, with our lowest Big Sit count ever!
