Team Notes

Participants: Ned Mueller, Ted Hazelwood

Weather: Fair, mild but with intermittent clouds

Location: Laghi Piccolo (aka 'frog pond') Oasi del Farfa, Montopoli RI

Time At Location: 658 to 1058

Notes:
Cutting the cane under the electricity pylon route opened up a vista into upland forest and meadow and was reponsible for sightings of buzzard, Wood-Pigeon, and Blue Tit. The fishing ground meadow had been ploughed up but one horse was still present. The reed bed around the frog pond had been cut down and the pond dredged out.

Anecdotes:
Ted spotted the first Buzzard when I was out of the circle for one of life's little necessities. After he beseeched the heavens for half an hour, it came back and I saw it. He knew it would! The Lesser Spots returned to the same dead tree three times during the morning.
