Team Notes

Participants: John Carter, Lindera Carter, Mark Nale

Weather: Temp: 40-50 degrees from start to finish. Very windy conditions, mostly sunny.

Location: State Game Lands 33--Sandy Ridge, Centre County, Pennsylvania.

Time At Location: 4:58am - 1:10pm EST

Our location had woods on one side of the road, and open field/panoramic views on the other side. It was difficult at times to hear birds with the high gusts of wind. This was our first Big Sit and had a great time viewing the birds and the magnificent fall leaves. We had lots of great raptor migration, and enjoyed grilling out for breakfast and lunch. Seeing a Golden Eagle was extremely exciting.
