Notes:
Highlights this year were: Broad-winged Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk (Krider's), Bald Eagle, eight Double Crested Cormorants, and a Belted Kingfisher (a "first time species" for Big Sits at the BIV Bird Garden!) While the warblers and the winter sparrows certainly let us down this year, the sharp eyes of some of our Sit participants picked up a great variety of fly-overs. Again this year we send a SPECIAL thank you to the fine members of River Bluffs Audubon Society who joined us at the Big Sit and served as wonderful "Bird Ambassadors" for the day! and MANY thanks to newcomer Nathan McAdams who stayed for the entire event and nabbed a whopping 22 of the the 28 species we encountered. Great job everyone!

Anecdotes:
The final species of the day was a close up look at eight Double Crested Cormorants! Betty and Steve spied them from the circle as the Cormorants were on their way to a nearby lake.
