The traditional breakfast bake was a big hit, eaten on the screen porch. High anticipation built through the night as the brisket cooked for eight hours. Dinner was delicious, accompanied by sweet potato apple bake, roasted vegetables and salad. A gathering of four or five swamp sparrows delighted the team. A winter wren appeared out of an arborvitae just long enough to be spotted. The belted kingfisher posed beautifully in the sun for all of us to get a long look.
