Team Notes

Participants: Mike Lott, Jim Goehring, Sally Knight, Dave Larsen, Bill Hohenstein, Joyce and Mike Bahtke, Bev and Jim Arnold, Brenda Chase, Maureen Daly Hamm, Scott Byrd, Trudi Witt, Gwen Skinner

Weather: Predawn low 52, warmed up to mid 70’s under mostly sunny skies. No wind!

Location: Aquia Landing State Park, Stafford, VA

Time At Location: 6:30 am - 4:10pm

Mother Nature was kind to us this year, with no wind and warm, sunny skies. However, hybrid storm Melissa was parked off the coast of Delaware and produced coastal flooding at high tides. The gate to Aquia Landing Park was closed due to flooding, so we had to carry in all our supplies. We had 3 Royal Terns, a new species for this location and after viewing photos, what we had originally thought was a Savannah Sparrow turned out to be a Lincoln’s.
