Its black “bandit” mask is distinctive, and its song is well known: wichety wichety wichety. Look for this bird in weedy, brushy, or marshy habitats, usually low to the ground. This bird nests from coast to coast, and as far north as southern Alaska.

Answer: Common yellowthroat. For study purposes, note that it has yellow undertail coverts and a yellow throat. Its back is grayish green, and it lacks wing bars.
