On the weekend of September 15 to 18, 2011, hundreds of bird watchers will gather at Lakeside, Ohio, on the south shore of Lake Erie for what will surely be the highlight of the birding year. Hosted by Bird Watcher's Digest, The Ohio Ornithological Society, and the Lakeside Association, the 2011 Midwest Birding Symposium (MBS) is generating a lot of buzz and interest. Space for attendees, vendors, and sponsors is quickly filling up!
Check out exciting developments with the MBS: an artists' gallery in Hoover Auditorium; a green screen photo booth; an attempt to set a world record for the number of people making a bird call at once; and much more!
The Midwest Birding Symposium would not be possible without the generous financial support of our sponsors. Please show your appreciation by patronizing our sponsors, many of whom will have booths in our vendor hall during the MBS.
Mark your calendar: On September 15-18, the 2011 Midwest Birding Symposium is returning to Lakeside, Ohio, where in 2009 we hosted nearly 1,000 attendees. The 2011 event promises to be bigger and better—organizers of this premier birding event expect a capacity crowd of bird watchers from around the continent to converge along the shores of Lake Erie.
